Paul Barbera was born in Melbourne, Australia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 1994. He lives in New York and works between Australia, Europe. He has also lived in Berlin, Prague, Singapore, Rome and Amsterdam.
Paul has established himself as an interiors and lifestyle photographer showing a special talent for bringing life into spaces and charging his interiors and travel shots with emotion and warmth.
He has worked with publications like Vogue Living, Elle Decor, Frame, View on Color, Bloom, Grazia, Jalouse, Black Book and AD China. Paul has also worked extensively on advertising productions for clients such as Coke, Sara Lee, Ikea, Saatchi & Saatchi, Mini and Dedon. His work has taken him to places like India, Argentina, Turkey, Brazil, Germany, Italy and Bali to name a few.
Besides working on advertising, editorial and commercial productions, he is also behind other creative projects including exhibitions and books. He started the blog Where They Create in 2009 – a project that documents the creative environments of the artists and creatives he has met during his travels and assignments.
