Matthew Town is British photographer who lives and works in London.
He is continually striving to create images that excites with its striking colours and confuse by abstract compositions.
Town grew up in the countryside of Wiltshire and went to art college where he found his excitement for photography, instead of becoming a professional golfer.
After graduating from Photography at the Arts University College Bournemouth, Town’s initial interest was portrait photography and had his work published in the British Journal of Photography, The Guardian and exhibited in Daniel Cooney’s emerging artist exhibition in New York and The Art of Photography Show in San Francisco.
Matthew has been the recipient of awards such as first place in the British Heart Foundation competition and Lisa Pritchard Agency competition winner, as well as The Royal Photographic Society 155th Print Exhibition Gold Award.
Shooting still life intrigued him so much, he decided to relearn his craft and become a fully fledged still life photographer.
His commissioned work includes clients such as Birchbox, Lynne Maclachlan, Laura Mercier, Wallis to name a few.
